Sustainability in the Swiss real estate industry
Sustainability in the Swiss real estate industry
Sustainability is no longer a “nice-to-have” in the Swiss real estate industry, but a central component of every investment and construction decision.
Laws such as the CO₂ Act, the Energy Act, and cantonal building regulations set clear requirements for sustainable construction, operation, and disposal—and at the same time open up opportunities for resource-efficient buildings, the use of renewable energies, and long-term value appreciation.
Our colleague Dr. iur. Maja Baumann, LL.M., explains why it is essential to take a thorough look at the legal requirements and how sustainability is increasingly establishing itself as a factor for economic success in her article, which appeared in the March issue of WEKA's Construction and Real Estate Law Newsletter and is available here in German (PDF download) and can also be found at http://bit.ly/3HAvviZ on LinkedIn.
