Autumn Lawyers' Conference (September 23, 2021)

Already for the second time in 2021, we had the pleasure to invite our colleagues of the SwissLegal group to a lawyers' meeting. This time to the wonderful Lac Léman, where the guests were invited last Thursday to the joint program start at the Geneva SwissLegal location (Rue Rodolphe Toepffer 8) for a small Apéro Riche and were allowed to taste finely selected wines from the renowned, award-winning winery "Cave de Genève". After a short walk together past the Jet d'eau, information on the management of the SwissLegal Group, on changes and developments - in particular on the signing of the Ticino office, with which our network will now definitely be represented by an office in all language regions - awaited the participants at the Hôtel N'vY on the edge of the pier. A hearty "benvenuti nella squadra di SwissLegal" to our new colleagues to Lugano !

The highlight of the technical part was the guest lecture of Me François Paychère, magistrate and former president of the Cour des Comptes de Genève, who was able to show the audience the problems and limits of decision making on the basis of digital data and algorithms. The not uncritical illumination of potential digital outputs also provided an interesting contrast in terms of content to the preceding Legal Tech guest speakers, who focused on digital support in the day-to-day business of lawyers.

Of course, the social part of the event was not neglected either, where the participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues of the SwissLegal family and to expand their personal network, especially during the joint dinner.

All in all, we draw an extremely positive balance of the Geneva event and hope that the general situation will allow such meetings to be held in the usual framework in the future as well.
