The law firm SwissLegal Rouiller & Partners Attorneys-at-Law Corp., with offices in Lausanne and Geneva, is pleased to welcome Jean-Christophe Liebeskind (John Liebeskind, 李健 LI Jian) as one of its Counsel, effective February 2026.

Admitted to the Geneva Bar in 1988 and Solicitor in England and Wales (non-practicing), Mr. Liebeskind holds an LL.M. (LSE), a DipICArb, and is a FCIArb. He has an international profile. He has been practicing in China since 2003, where he joined one of the leading Chinese law firms, with five offices in China, as Counsel.

His experience is further enhanced by his institutional experience as Chairman of SwissCham, the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in China.

Drawing on his dual legal expertise, he now advises Swiss and international clients in China, as well as Chinese clients in Switzerland, on their complex international investments and business transactions, both in structuring them and in resolving disputes.

A recognized expert in the Chinese legal system, Mr. Liebeskind will publish "Chinese Business Law" with Staempfli in May 2026.

Swisslegal has 13 offices in Switzerland, offering Mr. Liebeskind's Chinese clients, in particular, comprehensive legal services throughout the country.

SwissLegal committed to supporting future lawyers

The Swiss Moot Court 2025-2026 once again brought together law students from Swiss universities for a competition in which argumentation, legal expertise, and eloquence are put to the test in conditions close to those of a real courtroom. This year, Colette Lasserre Rouiller had the honor of sitting on the jury, drawing on her expertise to assess the quality of the participants' pleadings and arguments. Her discerning eye and professional standards enabled her to accurately evaluate the students' performances, while recognizing their commitment and rigor.
