Roman Gubser becomes new Partner at SwissLegal Aarau
Roman Gubser has worked in the financial industry for more than twenty years. He has proven experience in business and financial market law, as well as strong expertise in digitalisation and technology-related matters. A central focus of his work lies in providing legal support for digitalisation projects, particularly in the areas of data law, IT and cloud outsourcing, governance and compliance, legal tech, and regulatory requirements for digital business models. Most recently, he headed the legal department of Berner Kantonalbank AG. With his many years of experience at regional and cantonal banks and his broad network in the region, he is ideally positioned to strengthen the Aarau team in advising SMEs, financial service providers and public institutions.
The 45-year-old attorney-at-law also serves as a member of boards of directors and holds an Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen. With his appointment, SwissLegal Aarau is specifically expanding its expertise in the areas of financial market law, compliance and IT law. Gubser’s sound financial background and technological expertise are an excellent addition to SwissLegal Aarau’s profile and align closely with the firm’s existing strategic focus areas of digitalisation, data protection and corporate governance. “With his experience and profile, Roman is a great asset to our team — the right person at the right time!”, says Martin Frey, partner and member of the board of directors at SwissLegal Aarau.
