Maja Baumann wird neue Partnerin bei SwissLegal in Zürich

Wir freuen uns über eine neue Partnerin am Standort Zürich: Maja Baumann verstärkt das Team in den Bereichen Gesellschafts-, Vertrags- und Immobilienrecht.

Mit Maja Baumann, Dr. iur., Rechtsanwältin, LL. M. in Corporate Law (NYU), entwickelt sich die SwissLegal (Zürich) AG konsequent weiter. Die Fachanwältin SAV Bau- und Immobilienrecht wird das Team in Zürich ab 1. Mai 2020 erweitern und damit die Schwerpunktthemen des Standorts verstärken.

Die erfahrene Rechtsanwältin berät seit vielen Jahren private und börsenkotierte Unternehmen sowie Privatpersonen in Fragen des Gesellschafts-, Vertrags- und Immobilienrechts. Hierbei ist sie auf Mergers & Acquisitions und Corporate Governance sowie auf Immobilientransaktionen und Immobilienentwicklungsprojekte spezialisiert.

Dr. Maja Baumanns bisherige Tätigkeiten führten sie zu renommierten Kanzleien in Zürich, New York und Genf sowie in die Bankenwelt. Hierbei erwarb sie fundierte Expertise in den Bereichen Gesellschaftsrecht, Unternehmenstransaktionen, Immobilienrecht und Compliance.

«Ich setze mich für Lösungen ein, die tragbar sind und in der Unternehmung auch gelebt werden können», so Maja Baumann. Bei der Beratung ihrer Klientinnen und Klienten greift die Anwältin zudem auf ihre eigenen Erfahrungen als Verwaltungs- und Stiftungsrätin zurück.

The Swiss Transparency Register Is Coming: What SMEs Should Do Now to Prepare

On October 1, 2026, the revised Anti-Money Laundering Act and the new Federal Act on the Transparency of Legal Entities and the Identification of Beneficial Owners—the TJPG for short—will take effect. The transparency register is legally governed by the TJPG and maintained by the Federal Office of Justice. This change by no means affects only banks or other financial intermediaries. In the future, the majority of Swiss stock corporations, limited liability companies, and cooperatives will be required to identify, verify, and document their beneficial owners and report them to the new registry.
